Est Village is the smallest habitation of any note in all of Taelmoor, being even fewer in population than the more remote Dusk Glen. The people here make a living fishing, mostly, but the waters are significantly less plentiful than on the west side of the continent near Salt Town and the Taelen Ocean. Still, it's enough to support a modest population.
Unfortunately, the remoteness of Est Village makes it a prime target for pirates, slavers, and bandits of all sorts. Even on the heavily policed continent of Taelmoor where the Stoutsmen keep order better than anywhere else in the world, certain parts of the world can slip through the cracks. Recently, the notorious Frozen Raiders have been known to operate nearby and terrorize the villagers.
